How many rods can each system hold?
Rod capacity varies by model. Check the product page for each system for exact specs on rod count and length.
Can I take the system on and off easily?
Yes, GearRAK systems are designed for quick on/off so you can remove them for storage or car washes without a full reinstall.

Will my rods be protected from theft?
Both the Up-Right and Low Profile systems come with a locking front clamp to help deter theft of your rods and reels.
Can GearRAK handle exposure to sun, rain, and road conditions?
Yes. GearRAK systems are built with UV-resistant, rugged materials designed to withstand ongoing exposure to the elements without breaking down over time.
Is GearRAK compatible with Thule or Yakima roof racks?
Yes, GearRAK systems are compatible with most standard crossbar setups, including Thule and Yakima roof rack systems.

Is shipping free?
Ground shipping is free to home addresses and PO Boxes in the contiguous United States. This excludes Alaska, Hawaii, US Territories (including Puerto Rico), APO/FPO, and international addresses.
Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or internationally?
Yes! Contact us for details on shipping to these areas.
How do I track my order?
You’ll receive an order confirmation email right after checkout, followed by a separate shipping confirmation with tracking information once your order ships. If you don’t see either, check your spam or junk folder first.
What if my order arrives damaged or with parts missing?
Claims for items damaged in transit or missing from your shipment need to reach us within two business days of delivery. Contact Customer Service at CustomerService@GearRAK.com or (833) 432-7725 as soon as you notice the issue.
Can I cancel or change my order after checkout?
If you need to cancel or change an order, call Customer Support as soon as possible at (833) 432-7725. We’re unable to reinstate an order once it’s been cancelled, and email requests aren’t recommended due to processing speed.
How do I return or exchange a product?
Contact Customer Service at CustomerService@GearRAK.com or (833) 432-7725 for a return authorization (RA) number before sending anything back. For an exchange, return the item for a refund and place a new order for what you want instead.
How long do refunds and replacements take?
Once we receive and inspect a return, please allow 5-7 days for a refund to appear on your account. Replacements ship within four business days after the return passes inspection — placing a new order separately is the fastest way to get a replacement sooner.
Is there a warranty on GearRAK products?
Yes. An item discovered to be defective upon receipt can be replaced or repaired under the manufacturer’s warranty. Contact Customer Service at CustomerService@GearRAK.com or (833) 432-7725 to start a claim.

What’s the longest rod GearRAK can transport?
The Up-Right system handles extended rod lengths — including 10′ to 14′ surf rods — that many enclosed rod boxes can’t accommodate. Check the product page for exact length specs on each system.
How do I clean and maintain my GearRAK system?
A simple wipe-down with mild soap and water is all it needs. The UV-resistant, marine-grade materials are built to resist corrosion and weathering without special upkeep.
Can I move my GearRAK system between vehicles?
Since the system clamps directly to your crossbars rather than being permanently mounted, moving it to another vehicle with compatible crossbars is straightforward — the same quick on/off design that lets you remove it for storage.
